Elliot Wilcox performed Thursday,
February 21, 2008, at the Bloomington Center For The Arts.
Elliot played 11 Preludes by Alexander Scriabin (1872-1915.)
Scriabin rates as one of the great Romantic Russian Composers of piano music. Chopin was one of his main artistic influences.

Elliot played with passion and flawless technique!
Darin Tysdal was our guest soloist on March 8th, 2008. He performed Cesar Franck's "Symphonic Variations" with gusto and energy! Mr. Tysdal is also a conductor and composer.
Dr. Shirley Mier directed the CCO during the 2007-08 season. Click HERE for more pictures of Shirley.
Elliot is featured on the cover of the Thursday Musical program for the 2008-09 season.

Director Elliot Wilcox was interviewed in 2015 by Town Life magazine. He recalls many interesting facts about the early days of the Century Chamber Orchestra. Long-time members also speak highly of the quality of the music and the wonderful friendships that have been formed.
Dr. John Zdechlik is a prolific composer and was instrumental in starting many of the programs in Century College's Music Department. His daughter, Sarah Kolo, interviewed him on May 27, 2016. Click the video below to hear their conversation.
Dr. Shirley Mier, professor of Music at Century College, was commissioned by the Century Chamber Orchestra to compose a piece which was premiered at the May 7th, 2017 concert. Click the link to read about "Of Lakes and Legends."
The Pandemic forced us to rehearse with masks, social distancing and as much "ventilation" as possible! We made it work as long as the weather cooperated.
Fall 2021
We survived the Pandemic and kept most of our members through two years of chaos.
Here are the strings and winds at our May 2022 recital, with our director for the season, David Trelles.
